Caution urged in parasite treatments for sheep
UW-Extension sheep specialist Rudy Erickson warns producers to handle organophosphate products like Tramisol and Diazinon carefully to avoid malformed lambs or ewe deaths. He recommends timing treatments around breeding, using 50W as the external spray, and spacing organophosphate applications by at least 14 days. He notes risks from strong solutions, suggests spray methods, and cites better fleece appearance with proper external treatments.
