Wisconsin board opposes beekeepers indemnities and milk bill
Wisconsin agriculture board considered new dairy and pest control measures. It opposed a bill raising fat and solids not fat SNF standards for packaged whole milk citing consumer taste concerns. It also rejected a pesticide indemnity plan for beekeepers funded by a pesticide surcharge. It supported a DATCP program to test swine for pseudorabies and to indemnify farmers who follow eradication plans.
