Retiring Trempealeau agent Ed Ausderau ends 30 year UW Extension tenure

Trempealeau County learns their longtime county agent Ed Ausderau will retire June 29 after nearly three decades with UW Extension. Born Swiss, Ausderau notes changes in agriculture from forage feeding to high moisture corn and roughage needs, reflecting on Farm Progress Days and Farmland Preservation efforts. He retires under an unusual retirement law quirk, turning 60 in May and leaving before the age rule returns to 65.
