The Hungarian, center of attention at the city prison, left for Dillonvale with two sisters after a saloon fight left him wounded and irrational. His sister explains the incident, noting a blow to the head and subsequent mental confusion. He planned to seek a doctor in Wheeling, and authorities worry over possible skull fracture.
The Coshocton Indians reorganize and will be known as the Hamiltons in the baseball world. They schedule a first game with the Coshocton Athletic Club at Riverside Park on Saturday afternoon with Wells to pitch for the Hamiltons and Ricketts for the Athletic Club. Also noted are pension and property transactions involving M. W. Wimmer and Mary J. Randles, George C. Ferrer, W. F. Park, and E. A. Marquand regarding pension and real estate details.
Telegraph dispatch from Rome reports the Pope in good health taking a garden walk. Authorities opened Leo XIII residence and found a large sum in francs and other cash along with caliaries. Also noted Coxey's Band Wagon from New Bedford supplying Labor Day music.
Topeka reports a Rock Island wreck near McFarland in which fireman John Leggett of McFarland was killed while engineer John McSheen was found unconscious. The engine fell into a small stream. Cement steps replace old wooden steps at W. M. Moore residence on East Walnut, improving property appearance.
Crowds from the country fill Coshocton for a street carnival with larger crowds expected tomorrow and Friday. Oseo performs a shocking act with a venomous snake, drawing curious onlookers while the Fourth and Main museum and other shows report strong business. Merchants are criticized for not capitalizing on the tourist turnout as traders fail to lure crowds away from the attractions.

An earthquake in Mendoza yesterday destroyed several houses and the San Francisco church tower. Five people died and many were injured in the disaster reported from Buenos Aires.
Dr Ju C McCurdy of West Bedford has bought the M V Board property on South Sixth Street and will open an office in the former photograph gallery while living in the other apartment. The deal closed in the morning. He has many friends in town who welcome his practice here. Mrs Fred McDonald is ill at her Park Avenue home.
William Suntheimer, twenty one, accidentally shot himself while hunting squirrels near Dundee on a Wednesday afternoon. In attempting to club a fox squirrel with the gun butt the second barrel discharged into his chest, killing him instantly. He is survived by siblings and was connected with Coshocton workplaces. funeral services are set for Friday at two o’clock with interment at Walnut Creek cemetery.
James Passmore, a well known Co shocton county man, collapsed from heart trouble in Hamilton's restaurant after a stool fall. He recovered with medical help. Also notes two births: a ten pound son to Mr and Mrs C M Arline of Jackson township and a daughter to Mr and Mrs Cornelius V Easton of Oak avenue.
