Morgan Raid Recalled as Indiana Armies Respond
The narrative recounts Morgan’s river crossing at Corydon, the burning of Pete Lopp’s Buck Creek mill, and the capture and pursuit by Hobson’s Federal forces. It discusses theories on why Morgan crossed the river and whether the raid aimed to invade the North, plus the growth of Indiana militia and a humorous guard-house incident with Governor Morton.
