About 140 guests gathered at Amos Lemmon’s Edgewood home two miles southeast of Corydon last Sunday to honor Mr. Lemmon’s 73rd birthday and his niece Mrs. Allie McLaughlin while hosting a reception for Mrs. Eleanor Pfrimmer and her daughters Edmonia and Kathrina of Denver. Speakers included Rev. J. G. Moore and Dr. M. A. Farr. master of ceremonies Sam Pfrimmer praised family, and Miss Frankie Zenor of New Albany spoke on pulling people together through community service.

Horns Garage Destroyed by Fire at Keller Store
Fire early Monday leveled the Horns Garage behind the Keller Store. The 32 by 48 foot concrete and pine structure housed two Chevrolet cars and tools worth about 7000 to 8000 dollars, all insured with John H. Heth Agency. Maurice Horn and Josiah Grable operated the garage since December, with speculation on origin from crossed wires or batteries.

President Harding Dies Suddenly In Washington
President Warren G. Harding dies of a stroke while resting at the White House. The nation mourns the loss of its sixth chief executive to die while in office as Mrs. Harding was reading to him when the end came.
Funeral and burial at Marion Ohio Friday
The nation mourns President Warren G Harding who died suddenly at the Palace Hotel San Francisco on a stroke. The funeral will be held Friday in Marion Ohio, his hometown, with memorial services nationwide as the body lies in state in Washington. President Coolidge inherits the office and pledges to carry forward Harding policies. Six presidents have died in office, three natural and three by assassination.

Mother and Babe Injured in Night Buggy Crash
An accident just north of Central last Saturday night left Mrs. Walter Wade and her baby injured when a car owned by Charles Reas and driven by Elmer Reas collided with their buggy. The buggy overturned and the horse ran away dragging a shaft. Mrs. Wade and the child are improving and expected to recover. The Reas family were en route to Central garage to repair car lights.
