Stalled Auto In Front Of Hoover Train Aimed For Insurance

Two men Ra Weight 45 and Charles W Burlock 19 of Jeffersonville Ind confessed they planned to wreck an automobile to collect insurance but did not know President Hoover was aboard. The car blocked the special train near New Albany Ind delaying it 18 minutes as investigators questioned the suspects who were later jailed for arraignment. Also Uniontown man Andrew Redor 48 killed himself after learning he faced heart disease.

Kidnapped Boy Rescued After 21 Days by Detroit Police

Henry S. Thompson’s five year old son was kidnapped from his home. After a three week police chase, officers recovered the boy on the city outskirts. Police arrested James Fernando, 89, and Emil Soar, 48, who confessed to taking part in the abduction.

Sentence suspended in Findley case at Meadows Inn raid

Lé Raot owner of Meadows Inn at Pindley Tales resort faced a court in Findley Lake after a raid by enmity operatives from Mayville. A large liquor quantity was found on several tables during a riot involving resisting officers. He received a suspended three month penitentiary sentence after arraignment.

Three Arrests Solve Ch Theft in Crawford County

Three young men, John Meehan aged 20 Lawrence Meehan aged 22 and Chester Harry aged 18, were arrested in Crawford County amid a months long theft ring centered around Centerville Spar­tansburg and eastern areas. Meehans confessed and implicated Harry who had previously been jailed for arson and gasoline theft at the Crookston farm near Cochranton.

Licken Around Centerville Court Suspends Sentence

The youth trio linked to a chicken stealing ring faced Judge Kent in Centerville. A confession taken by Alderman Ralph A.
