Appeal Quashed In Venango County Registrar Case
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Pittsburgh quashed the appeal by Venango County Commissioners John N Marks John B Ritchey and Joseph A McElhaney from a mandamus writ directing appointment of 29 Democratic registrar appointees for three registration days before the September primary. Army Plane Crashes into Fort Hayes Troops
Six soldiers were injured when an army airplane crashed into a battalion during maneuvers six miles south of Shadeville near Columbus Ohio. The twin engine craft struck a wire over the road, plummeting into the marching troops and destroying the plane.
