City council rejected a complaint by A M Lite of North Center Street alleging he was wrongly charged for paying work in Frat alley. City engineer found that a small corner area had been paved by hand due to equipment limits, water mainly pooling on private property, with two low spots to be filled by the city. Federal agents confiscated a 125 gallon still and moonshine in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, leading to charges against Anthony J. Toccory.
The city police department sent a letter to Mayor J. Fred Kinley and the City Council asking for a substantial pay raise for the coming year.
