Carl Edward Roth, 10, son of Mr and Mrs Raymond Roth of Sherman avenue, vanished from home at ten oclock while playing with his dog. Neighbors and three St Leo’s High School students joined in a two hour search and found him at 12 15 near Boon Jack a mile from town.

Erie Girl Is Polio Victim In 9 Lineage Case
Health officials report bulbar poliomyelitis caused the death of three year old Iva Belle McCullough of 624 Irvine Drive Erie. The third grade Brookside School pupil woke with muscle pains Friday night and was admitted to Huml Hospital Tuesday noon. Paraly sis developed and she died at 9 30 p m Wednesday per the attending physician.

Public relations move expands veterans work in Hustetorl area
Public relations in a move to broaden the activities of that committee. According to Dr Hogan emphasis will be on the work of the Veterans Rehabilitation Committee south of the 400 foot long frame at Aihara. The fire was discovered at 2 55 am and alarm was sounded. By the time the first fire companies arrived the flames had blanked a version of the warehouse near the west ends of the building. Reflection of the flames could be seen on the west side of the city and another alarm was bounced from 2nd and State streets. Chief Scully called two more companies bringing eight pieces of apparatus to the scene. Firemen laid 3700 feet of hose and battled the flames for hours before the blaze was brought under control.
