A large number of potential witnesses from Bromley and surrounding areas are to be subpoenaed as the trial of Goel Phiday for the Wilkinson Slaying nears opening. District Attorney Tanah plans to prosecute closely, with 33 witnesses expected to testify. Judge Ona Waite will preside.

Erie police questioned a 22 year old man in a string of bedroom burglaries that alarmed residents. The Kane native, from Oakdale PA, admitted two recent break ins and may face charges. Investigators described a long black coated suspect seen by multiple housewives.
