Contempt Suit Against Attorney in Erie School Case
Erie City School District asked the Erie County Court to hold Attorney James M. English in contempt for a letter he published in the Erie Morning News and Daily Times. The judge had ordered English to limit remarks to the courtroom and not use media to “try his case in public.” The letter, signed by English, concerned matters in the lawsuit. The report also notes a separate item about a ship company poll rating ports for crewmen.
