Four Proposals On School Limits In Pennsylvania

Harrisburg reports a motion in the 1985 citizens legislative program for public schools seeking larger school units. Dr Juices N Rule outlines a permissive approach with criteria: districts must be large enough for a complete twelve year program, provide adequate study plans and leadership, plus efficient admin and transportation. County units appear best for many. Larger units around population centers may also work. Organized districts should begin July 1 1987 and be eligible for increased state funds to lower taxes and improve education.
