Spokesmen from labor and employers argued the November 2 election over Prop 15. They say 6,000 workers would lose jobs and key California fisheries would suffer with 55 percent of sardine, 45 percent of Southern California mackerel, and 35 percent of bluefin tuna catches impacted. The debate centers on penalizing a major industry for a minority sport fishing group. The San Diego Chamber of Commerce and other business organizations are urging a No vote.
