Naval Air Officer Discusses Shop Talk At Kiwanis Meet

Lt. Comdr. Jerry F. Daniels, production manager at the Naval Air Station overhaul depot, outlined duties and said the facility saves taxpayers by overhauling carrier planes for 10 000 each instead of 70 000 to 100 000 new. Some 8 000 to 9 000 civilians work at North Island in repair shops. Dr. I. L. Furnas urged Kiwanis members to attend the upcoming District 11 meeting. A nominating committee named to select next year’s officers included Kracht, Lloyd Alcazar and Walter Albright.
