HI-LITES Carnival brings games and prizes to high school gym
School carnival runs today 2 to 6 and 7 to 12 with bingo darts tunes dancing and a fun house in the high school gym. Tomorrow evening 7 to 12 carnival repeats with prizes and Sparking crowds. Students vote for beauty court and a jazzie assembly entertains while a World Youth Fund donation is noted.

CHS Carnival Promises Dazzle With Wide Range Of Booths
The CHS Carnival opens this weekend after weeks of prep. It runs 3-5 pm for grammar students and 7 pm-12 am for the public on Friday and Saturday, featuring darts, ring toss, basketball throw, a casino at the gym entrance, Bingo, a Spook House, art booth sketches, and food. Proceeds go to the student body for new band uniforms to boost morale and future championships.

Coronado High School will honor three valedictorians for the class of 1948. Betty Bruce Terry Duke and Annee Horney earned straight A averages within a few tenths of one another. Dick Hopper remains the salutatorian with grades just under the top trio.
