The Arkansas millionaire W J Thompson died suddenly of heart disease Monday at his Little Rock home. The local column notes four Arkansas schoolteachers were appointed to go to the Philippines for professional schoolwork. William Farrell known as the hunker king of Arkansas died at his home in Little Rock on the 18th from cancer. He moved to Arkansas from Michigan about twenty years ago and became principal stockholder in the Farrell Limber Company at Hensly. The firm owns 60,000 acres of timber land in Pulaski Saline and Grant counties, and Farrell owned significant timber holdings in Arkansas County.
