Regulations on Delmery Coal Controls Required for City
Regulations issued under Chapter 544 of the Massachusetts Fuel Administration limit anthracite coal to certain uses and prohibit delivery to hotels clubs and many institutions. Each consumer may receive only a thirty day supply of one ton if needed while bituminous coal and wood remain unrestricted. Dealers and consumers must conserve and use soft fuels to meet limited supply and avoid shortages. An emergency fuel district plan aims to manage scarce coal and prevent panic deliveries.
