Lady Campbell will represent the South Acton PTA at the 13th annual Massachusetts PTA convention in Gloucester October 5 to 7. A farewell party was given to Jp Reynolds, who has enlisted in the Navy for four years and departed for Rhode Island. Friends presented money, a gold signet ring, and a leather bill-folder, with Mrs Jessie Reynolds and Mrs George Hayward as matrons.

Concord Junction W S Allen is recovering from an appendicitis operation at Deaconess hospital. Daniel J Hennessy died suddenly at his home 2 Buttonwood Street Dorchester. Hennessy long employed by Myron T Carrigan Nine Acre Corner Concord. Joseph Brown returned to Hartford after weekend visit with parents Mr and Mrs James Brown. He was accompanied by his mother who will stay two weeks. Thomas Carroll Main Street has purchased and will occupy the Highland Street house recently vacated by Mr and Mrs William Fought. The Foughts will take apartments with Mrs John Hughes Main Street.
