Vanderhoof Hardware marks twenty years in Concord

The Vanderhoof Hardware Company on Main Street in Concord celebrates twenty years in business this May. Albert Vanderhoof opened the shop on May 1 1904 as a plumber with hardware lines and later expanded into a large stock. His sons Frank and Phil now run the firm after corporate changes two years ago shifted focus to hardware and heating. The family credits regular advertising in the Enterprise and a growth ahead as the store becomes a leading Middlesex county supplier.
