The Middlesex County Bureau of Agriculture Home Economics program, under the local Grange, showcased food and cloth by home economics and clothing groups and an eggs exhibit from boys’ poultry club. An entertainment segment included the play Hiring The Maid and a pageant Care of Clothing. County club agent George E Erickson spoke on club work. Miss Marion Forbes awarded prizes.

PTA Benefit Party Aids Dental Clinic Fund
The Parent Teacher Association plans a benefit party at the improvement room on Monday evening May 7 to raise funds for dental clinic work. Tickets may be bought in advance from Mrs. Jones Mrs. Merriam Mrs Cummings or Mrs Howe. If unable to attend you may buy a ticket for 235 cents. Prizes and a good time are promised. Clothing collected for Near East Relief on Monday. South Acton’s quota was 800 lbs though not met. Scouts thank all who donated. Bundling led by Carol Morse with several helpers from both boy and girl scouts.

Missionary play The Test staged at Trinitarian Church
Under Mrs Gladys Kean and Mrs Dorothy Peckham the missionary play The Test drew great crowds last Thursday afternoon in the vestry of Trinitarian church. The cast included Mrs Kean Mrs Willard and Miss Peterson with Mrs Elsie Rose Hub bard and Mrs Phyiliy Dennison providing the evenings entertainment.
