Automobile Owners Notice on Certificate of Title Rules

The Certificate of Title Law requires every auto owner to hold a title before obtaining 1942 license plates. Owners should apply before registration time to avoid extra hires and save taxpayers money. Ownership must be established before October 1, 1939, via old bill of sale or an affidavit. contact H. M. Mrs. Holmes Hosts Preschool for Comanche Children

A preschool program opens for children aged three to five with Mrs. Holmes at her home. Monday morning September 8 offers 3 to 4 hour sessions from 8 to 12 to fit mothers’ schedules. The initial week is free as a get acquainted period and participation after is optional.

Miss May Melton returned home Sunday after a two week visit with her cousin Miss Clenta Faye Looney. Willie Faye Williams of Edna Hill visited Miss Genevieve Falkner Friday and Genevieve Falkner spent Friday night and Saturday with Willie Faye Williams and was escorted home by Willie Faye Williams. Mr and Mrs Boyd Ewing of Wichita Falls and Mrs Charley Cline and daughter of Houston visited Ollie Falkner and daughters recently. Herbert Region is visiting relatives in San Saba this week.

A delayed birth announcement from Comanche reports the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Brewton. Born August 6, the girl named Mary Brooks Brewton is the family’s first daughter. Mr. Brewton plans to raise a nurse rather than recruits for the Navy or Army.
