The Church of Christ hosts a protracted revival from Sunday to September 14 led by Evangelist Morris of Clyde. R. C. Ledbetter says the visiting preacher is a fine young man, a converted Catholic, and services start at 8 p m each night with no daytime meetings. All are invited. Funeral Rites For Tom Levisay Today
Funeral services will be held at three o'clock this afternoon for Tom Levisay a retired Comanche cafe operator and longtime citizen. Both the services and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. He died suddenly at his home Thursday morning. He was a bachelor and is survived by a brother Frank Levisay and a sister Miss Sarah Levisay.

The Comanche County Livestock Association will hold its second annual meeting on Friday September 12. Telephone system and rate changes proposed for Comanche
At a City Council meeting on Monday night August 25 the Texas Telephone Company proposed installing 4 modern central energy telephone systems to serve Comanche. They reported on improvements during the past year including 278 new poles and about 40 miles of new wire to address rural line noise. The magneto service rates are 3.50 per month for business, 2.00 for one party residence, and 1.50 for party line residence, with desk set equipment charged at 25c for residences. Continued on page 7.

Two Teachers Elected At Comanche School Board Meeting

The State Fair of Texas may designate Comanche County Day during the Dallas fair session. Chamber of Commerce discussed the plan and named Hilton Burks and Dale Howard to lead arrangements including a special train. The date sought is either Tuesday October 7 or October 14.
