Clyde Nichol A Pioneer Married In 1899

Clyde Nichol arrived in Mills County around 1888 and lived west of Priddy until 1900. He married Edna Earl Jones on August 20 1899 and settled at Mt View in Comanche County. The couple moved to Indian Gap in February 1943 after living at their Mt View home.

Obituary Notices for Lizzie Tidwell of Iredell

Lizzie Laurence Tidwell died at her Iredell home on Monday August 23 after a heart attack Sunday. Funeral services were held at Iredell Methodist Church with interment in Iredell Cemetery. She leaves Madden Tidwell husband son Ray Tidwell two grandsons Thomas Ray and Carrie Von Tidwell and two sisters. Mrs Coker and Mrs Lloyd Coker attended the funeral. Mrs Arvel Smith is mentioned as recovering from an operation in Gordon Hospital.

Jack Bryant of 5SA joined 171 high school students from Texas Oklahoma and Louisiana at the North Texas State Teachers College Vacation Music School held August 21 to 29. The program ended with a final concert by chorus orchestra and band. Bryant is the son of William F Bryant of Sidney.
