Mrs. Tom Holcomb Buried Friday in Indian Creek
Mrs. Tom Holcomb died at her daughter’s home in Fort Worth on October 20 1927. Her body arrived in Comanche Friday for interment at Indian Creek Cemetery conducted by Rev. J L Ray. She was born in 1846 in Georgia, moved to Comanche County in 1859, and lived there until two years ago when she joined her daughter in Fort Worth. Survived by children Joy Holcomb Charles Holcomb Mance Holcomb and Minta Henderson and by three brothers Alf Pate and J W Coker.

Cotton receipts at the Comanche Cotton Yard totaled 2 815 bales Wednesday per Public Weigher Charles Denny versus 2 738 a year earlier. Woman Killed When Tank Falls on Gandy Farm
Aunt Sally Ward of the Newbury Community was killed Thursday when a windmill tank and its tower collapsed crushing her chest and limbs. She lived on the Gandy farm with two grandsons and was alone when the accident occurred while she was washing. A nearby driver reported the crash and alerted medical aid. Dr. J. O. Lane arrived about two hours later. Funeral plans awaited arrival of relatives.
