Press dispatches from Austin claim a large sum is set for Highway 10 upgrades in Frath county with 29 060 dollars already appropriated. Landowners along the route sign waivers for right of way, while M C Witcher of Dublin is named president of the ROW group and Ross R Wolfe reports signed routes from Stephenville to Dublin. The project spans Stephenville to Bluff Dale with no funds for land purchase. the county will cover fence removal costs.
Lon Burt's forty seventh birthday was celebrated at home Thursday evening with a roses and dahlias decorated room and a gathering of friends. George Hulsey escorted Mrs Burt to the party as guests welcomed Mr Burt with congratulations. Ice cream cake and games followed, with a long list of attendees and a green and yellow color scheme.

The Fairview Community Club gathered at the school house Friday night October 16 for its first meeting. A program was presented and the next gathering is planned for November 14. Mrs Ollie Johnston of Abilene visited the Williamses over the weekend.
