St. Clair Family Hold Second Reunion at Granbury Lodge

Seven St. Clair siblings gathered at Doc St. Clair's country lodge south of Granbury for a second family reunion with all present except G. St. Clair of San Angelo. An earlier all‑present reunion was held in March. Co. P. St. Clair and Mrs. D. Charles Clarke of Comanche attended. Mrs. R. B. Waldrop visited the State Fair of Texas last week.

E R Watson Called By Death In Comanche County

E R Watson died October 13 1939 at his home in Comanche County where he had lived most of his life with five years in Oklahoma. Born June 15 1872 he married Sadha Charity Brock in 1901. They had ten children with five living Golca Lester Alta Watson Clarence Clemens and Virgle Watson Virgle resides in Dublin. Survived by a brother and sister and five half siblings his wife died in 1927. He joined the Methodist Church as a young man and was remembered for kindness and honesty by his neighbors.

Newbury 4-H Club Members Tour Texas State Fair

The Newbury 4-H Club led by Ray Duren visited the State Fair in Dallas with 25 members of the 36 enrolled making the trip. They competed for a $10 prize for the year’s best club and individual records, finishing with a score of 732 out of 1000 compared with Beattie’s 325.
