Sunshine Club Delights Members At Halloween Themed Gathering
The Sunshine Club met October 10 at Mrs. C. C. Hampton’s home with decorations of buds and pastel daisies. Mrs. Lottie Hart led an instructive lesson and an interding contest awarded first prize to Mrs. Val Jackson and a beauti pot plant to George Hulsey. A Halloween decorand repast followed with many members present. Next meeting will be at Mrs. A. J. Gray’s home on the second Tuesday in November. Radios advertised as the latest type.

W A Crockett 73 retired Downing farmer died at his home Sunday funeral services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche Monday. Born January 16 1866 in Mississippi he moved to Comanche County in 1886 and later lived in Smith County where he married. He and his wife had two sons four daughters and two siblings survive him including Mrs George C Wetzel of Comanche and Mrs Ermine Powell of De Leon.
