Miss Holden Weds Elm Woolsey in Comanche Baptist Pair

Miss Willie Mae Holden daughter of Mr and Mrs W W Holden Proctor and Elm H Woolsey son of Mr and Mrs T E Woolsey of Stith were married Saturday at a Comanche Baptist parsonage officiated by Rev A Edwin Wilson. The bride wore navy blue dress with grape wine accessories. Mrs Woolsey worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co before marriage. Mr Woolsey is a 1937 Merkel High School graduate and now with Brooks Company in Abilene. They will reside on South First Street Abilene.

Omnanche Radio Program Highlights Teachers College Jubilee

Education seekers increased at the University of Texas as 10,063 students enrolled for the fall semester the highest figure in the institution's history. Registrar E J Mathews predicted final 1939 40 session totals would reach at least 11 000 with additional registrations and spring enrollment.

Joy Jean Eaton Robert Eaton and Maxine Nichols of Comanche have been selected as members of the Tarleton Singers a mixed chorus of sixty voices at John Tarleton College. Announcement was made recently by R Berton Coffin professor of voice after extensive try outs.
