Comanche County Schools Begin 1939 40 Term In County
Comanche County reports the start of the 1939 40 school term with Lamkin opening September 25th. The county includes 32 Common School Districts and 8 Independent Districts, with 19 CSDs maintaining a school and 5 affiliated in the independents. Tax rates range from 45 to 100 cents per hundred dollars. The Mid Texas Educational Association fall meeting was in Brownwood on September 26th with local officials in attendance.
