War Chest Fund progress in Comanche County reported

About 4800 dollars has been raised toward a 5400 dollar quota in Comanche County. County Chairman Wayne Evridge urged all communities to report remaining totals and noted some communities have exceeded their quotas while a few have not reported at all.

Mrs. R. V. Nabers Dies in Pecos

Mrs. R. V. Nabers 49 who had lived as Pearl Bolding in Comanche died at an El Paso hospital last week after illness. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Pecos with Rev. Bernard Guy officiating and Rev. A. F. Tucker assisting. Burial followed in Pecos Cemetery.
