Greene-March Wedding Solemnized in California
Miss Jane Greene daughter of Mr and Mrs O W Greene of San Angelo and Mr Jock March son of Mr and Mrs John Abe March of San Angelo were married in California May 22. The couple, both San Angelo High School graduates, attended local colleges and he recently earned his wings at an Army flying school in Victorville California. They left for Columbia South Carolina after the ceremony with attendance noted from both Greene and March families.

Cauley Jr. Earns National Scholarship Honor Society
Amarillo 15-year-old Jack Cauley Jr a junior at Amarillo High School was elected to the National Scholarship Honor Society at commencement. He also captured first in the Panhandle District Latin Tournament, and is the grandson of Mr and Mrs W C Cauley and Mr and Mrs J J Cadenhead of Comanche.

New Mechanics and Metal Work School Opens
The United States Government will open a Defense School in mechanics and metal work in Comanche on Monday June 1. The course covers repair of farm and gasoline motors, automobile work, soldering and riveting, blacksmithing. Open to those 17 and older. taught by J. H. London with Worth Howe as local contact.
