Jim Cox Suffered Minor Injuries In Comanche Wreck
Comanche resident Jim Cox sustained minor head wounds Tuesday when his car collided with a Fort Worth milk truck delivering dairy products to Camp Bowie. He was treated at a local doctor's office and reported resting well Wednesday afternoon.

Durham Berry Plant to Open Canning Season Tuesday
The Durham firm will commence berry canning on Tuesday May 26, marking a record high price of 4 cents per pound for this season. Local Fisherman Lands Forty Pound Cat at Lake Eanes
Dennis Hughes of Comanche landed a forty pound yellow catfish at Lake Eanes on Saturday. It is the largest fish reported from the Comanche lake. The fish was weighed and shown in Comanche. Dave Finklestine caught a thirty seven pound catfish there last year, a former record. The catch came on a large minnow.

At a Comanche Ropers Club meeting last Monday plans were laid for Comanche’s biggest rodeo and two day celebration on July 3 and 4.
