Halsell to Head Sipe Springs School

A. C. Halsell of Dickens is elected head of the Sipe Springs School for the next term succeeding Elza Brinson who resigned to lead Sidney Schools. Halsell and his wife bring about 20 years of Eastland County teaching experience. Mrs Halsell will teach at Sipe Springs and Mrs J V Brewer is re elected.

F H A Girls Enjoy Picnic at Lake

F H A girls from the high school went to Lake Eanes for a picnic. They traveled by car and Biggs' trailer, enjoyed games and lunch prepared by Mrs. Robinson and the chaperones, then returned for an intra squad football game.

Comanche Area Residents Spend Week End Visits

Tacille spent the week end in Comanche visiting relatives. Hamilton and Denton families traveled to see Mrs. C C Coker. Fort Worth trips included Clyde Marshall and numerous Comanche attendees at the Flower Show. Other visits occurred in Stephenville Borger Lubbock Dallas Waco and Brady with local families and jewelry market trips noted.

Flower Show Attended by Tate Family and Visitors in Fort Worth

Mrs. Preston Tate and daughter Margaret Ann with Miss Jan Franks joined a Fort Worth Flower Show over the weekend. Bill Edwards, veteran of the 97th Division, visiting Comanche after returning from Japan and honorably discharged, plans to enter college.
