Opening Softball Season Delayed Then Opens Under Lights
The 1946 Comanche softball league opening shifted from last Monday to Monday May 20 due to wet grounds. Six teams participate with doubleheaders every Monday and Friday starting at 7 30 p m. Admission is free and seats are ample. Opening games pit Frank Vineyard versus John Carpenter and Allen Beck versus Oscar Hill with six teams fielded by managers Dyer Carpenter Hill Vineyard Wheat Beck.
