On Sunday afternoon May 5 singers of Comanche County and territory are invited to gather at the First Methodist Church in Gustine. Organizers expect a large crowd and say the event welcomes both performers and listeners from the region.

Mrs. W. H. Davis has returned home after several days of treatment in a German hospital and is reported as improving.
Funeral services for Bedford Forest Stone known as B F Stone of Proctor were held at the Proctor Methodist Church with Rev. Carter and Rev. Tickner officiating. Interment followed at Zion Hill Cemetery. Stone, born May 1 1862 in Alabama, spent most of his life in Comanche County and Proctor and was active in local business and church life. He leaves a widow Lucy McGuire two children Edward Stone and Mrs Anna Adams five grandchildren five great grandchildren and a sister Mrs Carrie Hicks. Also notes Texas agriculture lists forty one crops by department of agriculture.
The suit is trespass to try title for 116 acres in Comanche County Texas involving numerous named defendants and unknown stockholders. The citation, issued April 27 1946 by Clerk Charles Carter, must be served within 90 days or it becomes unserved.
A. C. Schuman and wife convey part of Block 8 in De Leon to H. G. Jeffrey for a consideration of 3000 dollars.
