Billy J. Rollins of Gustine, veteran of 27 months in the Asiatic Pacific theater, has completed a furlough and reported with his wife at the Army Redistribution Station in Hot Springs Arkansas. The station screens returnees for physicals, updates records and back pay, and arranges interviews to re assign them to suitable Army jobs. Returnees stay in Hot Springs hotels for up to two weeks with a broad program of recreation and rest and their wives may share hotel rooms at reduced cost.

Pvt Bill Edwards, veteran of the war against Germany, is home on a 30 day furlough before re assignment. He is with the 87th Infantry Division and part of the time attached to the Third Army. Edwards spent 41 days in front lines and names Aachen as the worst damaged city he saw in Germany. He is the son of Mrs Golda McCollum Edwards of Texon formerly of Comanche.
