Isham Families Among Early Comanche County Settlers
The Isham family, among Comanche County’s first settlers, traces descendants from Charles H. and Mary Warnock Isham. They moved from Georgia to Texas in 1853 and 1855, settled near Indian Creek, endured frontier hardships, and produced seven children. The article notes many descendants remain in the county across multiple connected families.
