First Methodist Church Sunday Services Invite
The First Methodist Church announces regular services next Sunday with a 9 45 morning session and an 11 o clock worship. Members are urged to attend, as well planned services rely on broad participation. A union service with Central Christian and Presbyterian brethren will be held on the lawn across the post office with cordial invitation to all.

Lloyd Reunion on Copperas Creek Recalls Family ties
The J. H. Lloyd family held its annual reunion on Copperas Creek near the R L Poynor home. Fifty three members and twenty visitors shared a noon basket lunch, afternoon preaching by Rev. J Robinson Energy and talks by Rev. Roger Smith and Rev. R M McGinnis. Officers were elected for next year. Swimmers enjoyed the day.

W A Filippo 81 died at his son Jack Filippo's home in Comanche after a two month illness. Funeral Friday at 6 pm with Rev Gordon Barrett leading. Interment in Stag Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers named. Survived by wife Leila Hannon Filippo and nine children including Jack, Collin, Clifton, Oliver, and others. Born March 28 1858 in Alabama he moved to Texas at 23 and lived in Comanche County 30 years. He joined the Methodist Church at 23.
