Court house bond election urged with WPA grant promise
A public notice urges qualified voters to support a $75,000 court house bond issue in Comanche County. If approved, a $120,000 WPA grant would fund part of a $195,000 building, with 3.5 percent interest and 25 year maturity. The piece argues federal aid may vanish and the county would otherwise pay the full cost, while stressing job creation and the risk of delaying construction. It cites Brady County and a columnist note on the broader WPA context.

Plan for new McCulloch County courthouse favored
The piece argues for building a new modern courthouse rather than remodeling the old. It notes the 110000 bond issue matched by a 90000 PWA grant and cites the hurried election as a factor in insufficient support. The author stresses pride in McCulloch County and practical need to replace unsafe, cramped quarters.
