BankAmericard Expands Role in Consumer Spending
The Southwest BankAmericard program will grow its share of consumer spending as checks have. A cardholder uses the card at purchases and signs a sales draft, receiving a monthly statement that lists all purchases. Merchants redeem drafts at the card center, and cardholders benefit from widespread merchant acceptance and payment spreading. State National Bank views this as a major policy decision and a far reaching retail banking service for Comanche.
