Comanche Public Schools will observe Texas Public School Week March 3 7 to boost public interest and provide Open House on March 3 from 6 30 to 8 30 p m. Staff will assist visiting parents and discuss student progress. District figures include enrollment 1165, tax rate 1 80, 55 teachers, and Title 1 program staff.

Stout Assigned as New Highway Patrolman in Comanche
Patrolman Don Stout, age 29, recently completed DPS training and is assigned to Comanche as a Highway Patrolman. He served four years with Odessa City Police before joining, and will work with Patrolman Joe Wilie in the Comanche station, succeeding Les.

Music Festival at First Baptist Church
The Associational Music Festival will be hosted by First Baptist Church on Friday night at 7 20 pm. Two Comanche Students Featured at Texas Music Education Convention
The Texas Music Education Convention in San Antonio honored two Comanche high school students Sharon Beaty and Jackie Barret for top state rankings in band and solo competitions. Beaty achieved multiple first chair honors and state level placements while Barret earned top positions across district regional and state bands and solo events. Both plan to pursue music careers and attend North Texas State University.
