TP&L at 25th Anniversary Marks Texas Power Roots
Comanche notes the 25th anniversary of electric service from Texas Power & Light Company. Since 1916 TP&L expanded to 2,000 miles of transmission and 200 miles of distribution lines serving 140,000 customers in central north and east Texas, with rural farms benefiting from lower rates and reliable power. The piece links electrification to national defense readiness and industrial growth across Texas towns.
