Palmer to join Fort Worth Cats for training
Palmer travels Saturday to Fort Worth to join the Fort Worth Cats baseball club for a three week training period in Brownsville. He moves from Comanche where he played first base for two seasons and was signed as a pitcher after the Cats training school last season. Buster Hicks also signed as a pitcher but chose an engineering post at a Government Munitions Plant in Iowa. Despite bad weather, the Comanche Sixth Annual Junior Livestock Show drew a record entry.
