Woman Fatally Shoots Intruder at Byrds Ranch Home
Elizabeth Phillips, 53, shot and killed a man identified as Maniey Kellar about 60 near her Byrds ranch house after a prowler scare at night. The incident occurred as her daughter in law and two grandchildren waited inside. Phillips said she fired with a 12 gauge shotgun after the man appeared at a window.
