Cc E Holmes died at home in the Energy community on Tuesday December 4 after a year long heart illness. Interment took place at Shiloh Cemetery on Wednesday December 5 at 3:30 p.m. Rev O D Gilmore of Gustine officiated. born December 18 1871 in Mississippi he moved to Texas at age 15 and lived in Mount Vernon area before moving to Comanche County. He married December 5 1909 and is survived by his widow and several siblings J A Holmes J D Holmes O L Holmes Swep Holmes Mrs Joe Smith and Mrs H A Smith. He was a member of the Swan Hill Baptist Church.
