Farm Bureau Duchess Candidate to Parade in De Leon
Camilla Lou Kelley will represent Comanche County Farm Bureau as the Farm Bureau Queen in the Peach and Melon Festival parade at 5 pm Thursday in De Leon. She will be duchess in the Queen’s Contest the same night as Miss De Leon is crowned. Miss Kelley plans to attend Howard Payne College after graduating from Justine.

Travis Rasberry of Hendersons Comanche Texas won a prize in the Sweetheart Display Contest for retail grocers tied to the Dream Come True promotion by Purex Corporation Ltd Over three hundred retailers nationwide shared ten thousand eight hundred seventy five dollars in cash prizes with winners announced in July The promotion included a 37500 prize package and a station wagon along with insurance utilities and appliances Mrs Nick Stockwell of San Antonio visited relatives in Indian Creek during the event.
