A religious leader urges prayer for rain citing Bible verses to guide a rain seeking gathering at a ball park. She recalls a past service under Rev. Hitchcock when rain came and offers scriptures from John, James, Romans and Matthew to support belief that prayers aligned with God's will are heard and answered.
The Amity Progress Contest meeting featured refreshments, a film on Safety, and a program with music readings and talks.
