MBPP withdraws offer on Laramie River water use
The Missouri Basin Power Project withdrew its offer to Nebraska over using Laramie River water for a proposed three unit 15 million kilowatt station near Wheatland Wyoming. Nebraska officials rejected an out of court settlement as negotiations stall and a federal suit continues. The project would reduce North Platte inflows affecting irrigation and wildlife. The plant would cost about 1.5 billion dollars and begin powering eight states in 1980.
