Public comment sought on airliner smoking curbs
Washington based UPI report notes the Civil Aeronautics Board seeks public responses by Nov 8 on whether all smoking should be banned on commercial airliners. Action on Smoking and Health urged a full ban, but the CAB is voting to study the issue. A 1975 HEW survey found 70 percent of 12,000 people favored restricting smoking in public places.
